Hand-crafted in 100% ponderosa Pine, this finely crafted toy box is build with pride and built to last

From the side, you can see that this lovely unfinished pine hope chest is taller at the back and has a slanting lid. You can further see the intricate scalloped leg at the bottom. With the unfinished pine look, you can be sure that every box is individual in it's appearance. We specialize in unfinished pine furniture, allowing you to stain the pieces you buy to match you current decor.

The lid of this exquisite unfinished pine toy box is affixed to the box by a decorative antique brass hinge. Once this box is stained, the brass hinge will really stand out.

Open the lid of this unfinished pine toy box, and you will reveal a safety friction hinge. This hinge is integral to the safety of your little one. the hinge is reliant on a Phillip's head crew located at the very bottom of the hinge, where the lid connects to the box. The screw can be adjusted to add or reduce friction on the hinge. The tighter the screw, the harder it is to lift or lower the lid. Adjusted properly, the hinge is designed to minimize the risk of the id slamming down onto delicate fingers. The other side of the lid is further supported by a nice brass chain that adds extra support from the lid falling backwards. At Duvall's Woodwright Shop, your child's safety is a top priority. Though we all know that accidents can happen, we do our best to ensure that our products are as safe as they can be.

The bottom of this unfinished pine toy box is made out of a decorative paneling. (Paneling styles will wary from piece to piece.) Although this will be coverer up once the box is full of toys. it only helps to further add to the overall beauty of this endearing unfinished pine toy box.

For an additional $20.00, you can personalize the box with a custom name plate. Out standard text is Old English, but ask us, and we may be able to accommodate a different font style. It may be hard to read in the picture, but this name plate reads, "Junior's Toys." Though hard to read here, when you stain the plate, the name will appear slightly darker from the different grain. If it does not come out dark enough for your taste, you can always add a touch of darker stain to your primary stain, and touch up the letters with that.
