The all brass hardware on this chest includes decorative corners on the lid to protect from accidentally bumping into them. At Duvall's Woodwright Shop, we take your loved ones well being very seriously and do as much as we can to prevent their injury. Though accident can always happen, we do everything we can to limit them.

In it's unfinished form, you can see that the dowel inserts that cover the screws is slightly off color from the wood used for the rest of the cabinets. These imperfections, though still slightly visible after you put your favorite stain on, only add to the individuality and uniqueness that each miniature hope chest has. The knotty look of the pine ensures that each chest is it's own work or art and craftsmanship.
